30 March 2009 - Kentish Park - 6k West of Kentish

On the Eastern shore of Lake Barrington, are various large camping areas with excellent views across the lake. Most of the sites are level and are in well grassed areas. Access to most of the sites is achieved by taking the gravel road on the left hand side of the (10) kph speed limit sign. Boat ramps with pontoons provide easy access to the lake and a swimming pontoon is there for those brave enough to take to the water. Septic toilets, an electric BBQ, a shelter shed are also provided and fishing is permitted all year round for those with a permit. Some low branches prevent access to several camping sites and the gravel is slippery on some of the slopes. All in all, a good place to spend some time.
