17th April 2009 - Cynthia Bay Campground

Part of Cradle Mountain / Lake St. Clair National Park, Cynthia Bay Campground is located about 5k North West of Derwent Bridge off the Lyell Highway. Powered sites, washing machines ($3.00), water, hot showers ($1.00) are all available I this World heritage Park. The camping sites are amongst trees, well shaded and close to the lake. Further along the Lyell Highway is “THE WALL” in the wilderness where a sculptured wall, when finished, will stand at 100m long. The photos displayed were taken from postcards as cameras are not permitted inside the building. We recommend both locations as a good place to visit.
